This page explains clearly what data Impactube uses, why it uses it and how you can contact support.

Public data

Impactube analyzes public data visible on YouTube, such as titles, thumbnails, dates, channels and public metrics.

Account and limits

We use account data to sign you in, apply usage limits, save preferences and provide support.

YouTube Studio

If you connect YouTube Studio, Impactube only reads metrics from your videos. It cannot publish, edit or delete content.

We do not sell data

We do not sell personal data. We use information to provide the service, improve the tool and protect the platform.

Google API Services User Data

Read-only data for your dashboard

When you sign in with Google, Impactube may access your Google account identifier, email, name, avatar and email verification status. When you connect YouTube Studio, Impactube uses read-only permissions to read authorized channel, video, statistics, impressions, CTR and YouTube Analytics/Reporting metrics. Impactube does not publish videos, modify channels or delete content.

Impactube uses this data to authenticate your account, show dashboards, generate analysis, reports, recommendations, collections, comparisons and AI features that you request inside the product.

Impactube does not sell Google user data, does not use it for advertising, does not disclose it to advertising networks or data brokers, and does not use it to train generalized AI or machine learning models.

Impactube's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data we may process

  • Account data: email, name, avatar, language, plan, session status and preferences needed to use Impactube.
  • Public YouTube data: titles, thumbnails, channels, dates, views, likes, comments, duration and visible public signals.
  • Connected YouTube Studio: private metrics authorized by you, such as views, impressions, thumbnail CTR, retention and subscribers gained when available.
  • Impactube Insights extension: public data loaded on the current YouTube page for filters, outliers, CSV and user-visible analysis.
  • Technical data: IP, browser, timestamps, security logs, errors and quota usage to prevent abuse and improve stability.

How we use data

  • To create analysis, rankings, filters, dashboards and suggestions inside Impactube.
  • To store cached results so API usage is lower and the website loads faster.
  • To apply plan limits, protect the tool and detect abusive usage.
  • To answer support requests and fix issues.
  • To send emails only if you agreed to receive communications.

External services

Impactube may use external services to work correctly. Keys and tokens are handled from the backend and are never exposed in JavaScript.

  • Google / YouTube APIs: for login, public YouTube data and YouTube Studio metrics if you grant permission.
  • Hosting, database and infrastructure providers: to host Impactube, store account records, store cached analysis, run server-side requests and protect service stability.
  • Google Gemini / Google AI / OpenAI: for AI features when you use them, including Impact Studio, YouTube Studio AI reports, thumbnail analysis, video analysis, comment analysis, recommendations or image generation. We may send your prompt, selected channel, collection or report context, video titles, thumbnails, public YouTube metrics and, if you connected YouTube Studio and it is relevant to the feature, authorized metrics such as views, impressions, CTR, watch time/retention-related metrics and subscribers gained. OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens are not sent to AI providers.
  • Stripe: for payments, checkout, billing, receipts and subscription management. Stripe does not process YouTube Studio metrics or OAuth tokens.
  • Email and support providers: to respond to support requests and send product communications only if you opted in. They may receive contact details, such as email and name, and the message you send us.

Use of YouTube API Services is also subject to Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms.

Google Privacy YouTube Terms

Security, control and retention

  • Impactube uses HTTPS/TLS in production and handles Google/YouTube data server-side.
  • OAuth client secrets and OAuth tokens are not exposed in browser JavaScript.
  • YouTube Studio OAuth tokens, when present, are stored encrypted on the server with AES-256-GCM and used only for authorized metrics.
  • Private areas require user authentication, user-scoped access checks and CSRF protection for sensitive actions.
  • Administrative access is restricted to authorized administrators.
  • Logs are designed to avoid storing OAuth tokens, client secrets or authorization headers.
  • You can disconnect YouTube Studio from your dashboard. When you do, we stop using that access and remove the stored OAuth tokens for that connection.
  • You can also revoke Impactube access from your Google Account.
  • Cached analysis may be retained for history, trends, security and API saving.
  • You can request access, correction or deletion of your data by contacting support@impactube.com.

Impactube Insights Chrome extension

The extension works with videos visible or loaded on the current YouTube page. Impactube does not modify YouTube or invent data that is not available. Some Plus features, such as CSV export or advanced filters, may require signing in to Impactube.

Results are research signals and estimates. They do not guarantee views, growth, revenue or future performance.
